Fuorisalone.jp - a platform that shares the identity and know-how of Fuorisalone.it - was created to communicate the best Japanese design, its creativity and lifestyle with the backdrop of its key cities, Tokyo and Osaka.

It promotes the best Japanese design on show in Milan during the design week, connecting the design community to form a single network, creating a cultural and commercial bridge between the two worlds.

Fuorisalone.jp offers bespoke services, solutions and consulting, by rolling out a consulting team of professionals, in order to capitalize on the business opportunities between Italy and Japan within the design industry; it is an organized point of reference, capable of helping Japanese companies and designers, in relation to the Italian market and in particular with the Fuorisalone event; it’s a facilitator able to simplify the logistics-organizational processes, communication and promotion of an event, in both Italy and Japan.

Event: What is Fuorisalone

Fuorisalone, that is, beyond the Salone del Mobile, within the city of Milan. A collection of events that take place throughout the city of Milan during the week of the Salone del Mobile that characterises the international event dedicated to the most relevant design in the world.

History

Fuorisalone is not a Fair. It does not have central organization: it came about spontaneously in the early 80’s from the desire of furniture and industrial design companies to have a space in the city open during and after the fair hours, free from the logistics of a Fair. Nowadays it has broadened to related sectors, including automotive, technology, telecommunications, art, fashion and food.

Milan

During the Fuorisalone, Design literally invades Milan, intertwining with the urban fabric and staging an unprecedented show every year. In seven days, the city and its districts come alive with more than a thousand installations, parties, exhibitions and events, whose keywords are design and creativity.

Fuorisalone.it

It has been a platform of reference and the official guide to the Fuorisalone in Milan since 2003. The skills and relationships consolidated over time are now strategic tools for new projects and towards opening new markets.

Two capitals and two worlds of reference presently directly in contact, thanks to the Fuorisalone Consulting Team. Designed to support companies, designers and institutions, the Fuorisalone Consulting Team aims to create relationships between the two countries in the context of design and lifestyle, offering targeted consulting services thanks to the support of a multidisciplinary staff.

Offer orientation and solution to those who wish to participate in the Fuorisalone in Milan, offering services such as location scouting / shipping and logistics / permits / catering / security as well as local architects / fitters / press office and local pr.

Ensure overview of the whole process and a dedicated communication plan for the event, managed by an Italo-Japanese staff, operating in the two locations of Milan and Tokyo.

The services offered go beyond Design Week and focus on promotional activities and networking with the Italian market, offering direct support and strategic advice for the activation of new opportunities.

Tokyo

Create and develop a local design community, through networking services and events.

Offer direct advice for international companies aimed at creating business opportunities in the Japanese market in terms of product distribution and positioning, as well as for co-marketing development with companies, designers and local craftsmen.

Create dedicated formats for the world of Interior Design through the activation f projects in the form of a collective, signed by Italian designers and brands with the support of public and private institutions.
